Star Trek: Review By Newkill3000

After seeing one of the greatest movie of all time, Terminator Salvation, I thought i might check out Star Trek, and to tell you the truth, i was very disappointed. I heard nothing but great things about this movie. I thought this movie was just okay. Well, at least it's not embarrassingly bad. It did have it's moments, but all around this movie just didn't keep me juiced up. I just wanted to leave and get in on the second show of Terminator.

Now, J. J. Abrams is a great movie producer and television producer; the first season of Alias was just groundbreaking and Cloverfield was a great movie, but as a director, he just doesn't bring that same feel. As crazy as the first two Mission Impossible movies are, they were serious and took themselves seriously, but when he brought in that comical, stupidity version to the third MI movie, I was let down by it. Maybe i shouldn't have watched MI3 before seeing this, because that's all this reminded me of. It was like Mission Impossible:In Space, without Tom Cruise. Also, I thought it was like a One Tree Hill style or just another bad CW show brought into this movie.

I'm not totally trashing this film, because the effects were great. Too bad that's all it had going for it. They just flew around in their sh*tty little space ship and exploring the world, Boring. I'm surprised so many Trekkies love this movie. Well, maybe i would have to be one to enjoy this, because i really didn't. I can see, now why, this movie didn't stay in number one on it's second week and was beaten by Angels and Demons, a much better movie.
