Star Trek: Review By SMRTALEC

First off, let me state that I am not a fan of Star Trek at all...I never watched the show, the past movies, nothing. Never liked it, never got into it, whatever.

I went into this movie with an open mind just looking for some good summer blockbuster fun. J.J. Abrams and the rest of the cast and crew who brought this film to life delivered that and more!

This movie had it all! Intriguing story, GREAT characters, beautiful cgi that never once looked cheap, fantastic pacing, and smart twists that never made you feel lost. It was kind of a complicated story with the twists and there were a lot of alien names that sounded familiar from the Star Trek universe BUT they were able to explain everything perfectly.

You don't need to be a Star Trek fan to fully enjoy this movie. It's a sci-fi movie for everyone. Try to give it a chance and you'll see. And try to see it in IMAX too ;D

Forget X-Men Origins: Wolverine. This is the movie to kick off the summer blockbuster season. It's loads of fun, upbeat, colorful, and has great action!
