Right down to its title, Nemesis feels bland and rehashed. While the special effects are top notch, they're really just covering up the fact that this isn't much of a movie. The plot is thin and the villain is a dull cliche. In a movie that focuses on action over character development the action scenes are quite boring. The ending is too similar to the previous film (Picard has to go aboard the enemy ship to fight the villain solo) and some scenes are pretty ridiculous (ramming the Enterprise into another ship isn't "unpredictable" it's just suicide). Also, if you're going to have Alan Dale and Ron Perlman in your movie they have to be given more than a couple minutes of screen time.

Insurrection didn't feel like an ending to the series, so another film was in order. It is just a shame that it had to be this one, as The Next Generation was one of the best shows of its time and deserved a "First Contact"-calibre film to bid farewell. Nemesis is just disappointing.
