Stand By Me: Review By WiseGuy

This isn't funny! What am I supposed to eat? You could cook your dick. It'd be a small meal.

I have seen this movie about 10 times already and I remember the first time I saw it at about 9 years old.

I loved it and ever since then I have.

Stand By Me is my favorite coming of age film and it is shown in the summer when four 12 year old kids go on a search for a dead body of a kid around their age. The story is great and shows the personality of each kid and their very close friendship. It was also a strong movie especially the end. But more so comedy than drama.

This is based on a Stephen King novella The Body. It is a very easy movie to follow and also entertaining.

The kids do a fantastic job acting and it was for some of them a start of a bright career. Rob Reiner does a perfect job setting the plot and the characters in balance.

This is my favorite film of his.

This also reminds adults on what it was like to have friends at this young age and how it will never be the same.

At a short 88 minutes this is a very touching coming of age comedy and it will not disappoint. Every aspect of this film is valuable. Its a classic.

Im sure kids around 10 or 12 could relate.

See it. ***** out of *****
