The real reason I watched this film was because i saw the trailer before "A Nightmare on Elm Street". This film was terrible and horrid. I could not stand watching this for two hours. This film was so awkward to watch in theaters. Especially the sex scene between Dren and Adrien Brody's character. I was thinking to myself if this was supposed to be sexy or played for laughs. In fact me theater was laughing during that scene. The story wasn't that great and I appreciate the originality the writer's came up with. But I hated how they make Sarah Polley's character like Dren at first and then make her hate her when she became an adult. Then Adrien Brody's character likes her now. The pacing was terrible! This film is basically genetic scientists arguing to each other about Dren. I found this film absolutely disgusting and terrible. The directing was mediocre but still pretty good. Except the shot where Dren is on top of the farm. And a lot of other. The only actual good thing about this film are the visuals. I was surprised of how great the visuals were! Because of the low budget but they pulled it off. It also seemed kind of cheesy for them to make Dren kind of like a zombie when she reached full form. This is more humorous than it is exciting. This film was terrible made. PLEASE do your self a favor and don't watch this!
