opening words: This will be a short review

Spider man 2 is a mess i dont even thin they read the comics peter parker is more of a bitch then before this is some bs story of him having to learn some bullsh*t about what he whats and needs and for some reason he losses his powers... WTF?!

Anyway this is just a mediocre movie i dont even want to explain why this movie fails in my opinion this is an insult to the spider man name.

overall: You want a good super hero movie go watch iron man or one of the batman movies(just stay away from Batman&Robin)

I have to politely disagree as well. This is, by far, my favorite of all of the Spidey movies. Now if this were a review of Spidey 3, I would agree.

I kinda disagree. I thought this to be the best sequel to a super-hero movie ever, but The Dark Knight changed that :P

Spider-Man is only a smart ass in costume because he's been through so much in his life and it helps him concentrate in battle...it's a coping mechanism.

There's countless directions Spider-Man can be taken in. Raimi chose to express the mature Peter that's seen now rather than the coming-of-age story seen in his early years and Ultimate Spider-Man. The latter will be portrayed in the new reboot. For the direction Raimi took the character, he did a fantastic job with this sequel. The first was fun, the third was a dud, but this film is one of the best super hero movies of all time with great action sequences and a character driven story.

I don't think it's so much that Peter "loses" his powers, it's that he isn't able to use them effectively because he's still distraught over the guilt he feels about Uncle Ben. It's basic human behavior used in the context of a superhuman-not being able to function properly under emotional duress.
