Smokin' Aces: Review By The_Fallen_One

the plot begins simply enough.A vegas magician by the name of Buddy Israel(Jeremy Piven)gets involved in the world of organized crime but not long into the game he makes some bad decisions and the high life he had hoped for begins to crumble down around him.And now there is a hit on Israel's head and a who's who of assassins,hitmen,gamblers and feds are all out to get him.The HUGE cast of characters all get enough screen time to be very enjoyable.With Ryan Reynolds as agent Messner,Ray Liota as his partner,Alicia Keys as a female assasin and many others.As good as Ryan Reynolds was in this movie I have to give it to Jeremy Piven for favorite performance.I think he deserves to be taken seriously and wish others would stop making him the brunt of so many jokes.this movie gradually builds until all hell breaks loose in a hotel in a wonderous barrage of bullets and chaos.When agent Messner begins to wonder why he and his partner were sent uninformed into a suicide mission the story takes an interesting turn.The look of the movie was great with some very stylized visuals and some great music that changes with the character it follows.There is alot of fun characters and it is a blast to see who will make it out of this operation gone as wrong as wrong can go.
