smokin aces is about a bunch of hitmen who are trying to kill an illusionist(jeremy piven) for 1million bucks. yes the story sounds pretty stupid and cheesey but its actually an amazingly well done movie and in my opinion is the greatest movie ever made. so first you got 2 feds (ray liotta and ryan reynolds) who are trying to take this guy down. theres the tremor bros (2 guys i dont no and the guy from 3 10 to yuma and wild hogs) who are these phsycho killing machine hicks. then theres agroup of ex cops(ben affleck and 2 guys i dont know) who u dont really giv a crap about since they get killed 20 minutes into the movie. then we got aces body guard(common) who will do anything to protect aces.then we got the best characters these 2 contract killers(alicia keyes and sum chik i dont no) i mean alicia keyesshouldve wun an award for that cuz she just spectacular in this.then we got sum jak@$$ played by that guy from the ocean movies(shocker there!) then we finally got this dude who iwanted to die so badly cuz u had to hat him. he can make himself look like anything.it was fun and cool and never stops pleasing.i would strongly recomend this to anyone! i forgot theres also 1 more guy whos a huge phsycho but dies pretty quickly so u really dont giv a crap.

Awesome movie!!!!!!!!! Great set of weird characters!!! And kick#$% action scenes!!!!!!! A mob/hitman story adapted into 21st Century Lake Tahoe, NV! Loved it!!!!
The story was pretty easy to follow for me.
1) Aces gets tied to the maffia, and breaks a deal to rat out the mob to save himself.
2) Two FBI agents try to apprehend Aces at a hotel suite, but are delayed by assassins.
3)Ex-cops need to take him in, but the tremors prevent it.
4) Two girls set up a sniper and an infiltrator, but are delayed by other assassins.
5) Aces gets ultra paranoid about the loyalty of his assistant Ivy.
6) A guy that's good with disguises infiltrates the hotel suite to apprehend Aces, but cops delay it.
7) A master of torture impersonates hotel security, but is delayed by an FBI agent.
8) Tremors arrive and f*ck up everyone's plans.
9) Ex-cop goes to this riddlin high karate kid's house to mend his hand wound.
10) Weird ending that doesn't seem to fit the film's style at all, kinda like it makes it all seem too insignificant in comparison, but still good.
And it's all told in an ensemble type of way, and therefore doesn't come off as being random crap, but as something that was easy for me to follow/understand fully. Does any of that help?

if you miss 5 seconds of any part during the film, you would need to start from the very beginning. i have seen it like 7 times and there is so much that doesnt make sense

well I dunno about all of THAT, but I can admit that the plot is very jumpy and if your not paying attention, it could be hard to follow 100%, but I dont think it was one of the worst, you cant top norbit in that category.

i liked this movie, i would have given it above 3 stars just for killing ben affleck in the opening 20 minutes.

i like it too but i would say 2.5 or maybe a 3 if im feeling generous. deff does NOT deserve 5 and half the cast is in my top favorite actors list

this movie was too confusing. it took me several times to get it and they left out so many key points. this movie is prolly 3 stars if your lucky. the cast was strong but the story was all over the place and too hard to keep track of. i again disagree with you sir
