Smokin' Aces: Review By John2347

While some people might see Smokin' Aces as a True Romance Snatch rip off its still a real good fun action crime comedy. The movie is full of many characters that are all funny,serious,crazy,violent, and some are cartoonish and it all works out because even though some characters are only in the movie for five seconds they all seem to have a part to play in a foot race to a big huge action scene witch is Awesome. The movie also has a lot of plot development witch is very over the top but thats what Smokin' Aces is its a very over the top movie and thats one of the movies high points. Jeremy Piven gives a great performance as well as the rest of the cast mainly Alicia Keys, Ryan Renyolds, and Common who really shows off his talent in one scene with Piven. The directing of the film almost feels like a Tony Scott film but Joe Carnahan is a very talented director and creates a very interesting look to the film that just sticks with you after the movie.
