The best film of the year is definately the best film of 08.

The strongest point of the film is in the writing. I love how the film started with a question. They give you the options and at the end of the film they reveal the answer. Very well done. It's great to see some originality nowadays.. the script is very clever on how to reveal the events and they dont over do it which is very important.

The children actors in this film are unbelievable. They have natural conversation after conversation it just makes the film much more realistic and moving. Great performances by them overall I was very very impressed. Patel and Pinto captivated the screen.. you belive their feelings and their expressions there is absolutely no hint of weakness in their performances.

Danny Boyle is already a proven director but in this film he is solidified as one the most talented working today. It is visually beautiful how he captured the boys journey and it all pays off at the end.

This is a great film. It is what GREAT storytelling is all about.

Not that good. It was interesting when they were children but it lost something as they grew up. I got a little bored with it about two thirds in, thought it ran out of steam.
