I also found Skyfall disappointing. Bond has become like Superman in the new Craig films. Shot twice and falling 200 or so ft. should have killed him. It was never explained how he survived. At the end, he never gets touched by the exploding grenades. I'm sick of the unreal chases & fights. Sean Connery was believable!
this film actually seems like another restart since the story from the two previous sequel looks detached. But then, it is still good to watch.,, there's little humor and that's great for that genre, great villain and nice fighting / chasing stunts.
Hi all - just watched it - I actually met Javier Bardem over a pool table in Madrid in Tirso De Molina to be exact in the early 90's - the Mission Impossible soundtrack was playing if I remember rightly. The club culture in Madrid was fantastic and crazy in those days - lots of gay clubs. There was a character called Rafa who knew everyone and put everyone in contact with each other - introducing et al - I firmly believe that Rafa and his friends influenced Javier's portrayal of Silva in the movie. Please remember Rafa - he was diagnosed with HIV positive while I was there. Madrid's culture in those days lives on through this movie - fantastic how creativity evolves xxxx h
