Sideways: Review By The Dark Knight

This movie was great I lied it a lot It is about a depressed man going on a wild trip with his friend who is about to get married. On this trip the go wine tasting and they run into all sorts of small little things one after another. Miles (Paul Giamatti) is writing a book that is supposed to be fiction but it is actually about him and hes trying to get it published. He is depressed cause two years ago he had a divorce. Jack (Thomas Haden Church) is an actor who is taking his best friend on a road trip before his wedding to get him laid and for he can get laid too. They end up running into Maya (Virgina Madsen) who is friends with Miles and Jack wants Miles to get with her and Jack finds someone too, Stephanie (Sandra Oh) who is a so called "hottie". They end up going on a double date. Jack starts to make stuff up and says that Miles book is getting published and the truth is its not. Miles turns into this Wine expert and all he talks about is Wine and gets really drunk and "drinks and Dials his ex-wife. Jack is trying to fix it.

By the time they get to Stephanie's house Jack ans Stephanie go into the bedroom and Miles and Maya get into a conversation about Wine ,his book and their lives and he kisses her and she has to leave he lets her take his rough copy of the book to go read. After that..Jack starts having second thoughts about getting married and says that he doesn't want to ,cause she is controlling and Stephanie is cool and chill. He starts saying he loves her and stuff. Miles is getting really depressed when he finds out his ex-wife is coming to the wedding and says he doesn't want to go. Miles goes on another date with Maya and the end up doing it and it slips out about the wedding and it starts going down hill from there.

Maya tells Stephanie and she beats the hell out of Jack his nose is all messed up and Maya hates Miles for lying. Jack is wondering how she found out and Miles says it might have been the bar tender that told them. Jack ends up going to a restaurant and the waitress finds him familiar and he she is acknowledged that he is the actor from the tv show.

Jack ends up going to the waitresses house and her husband finds them together he is forced to run "5 clicks" to his hotel room and they have to go get his wallet. It is so funny seeing Paul having to go in there and run out. The husband of the waitress is screwing his wife and just a couple hours before she was cheating on him. The husband is chasing Miles but naked out into the street and rubbing against the car and you can see the whole Shi bam bam.

Then when the trip is ending up the crash his car in to a tree to make it look like he got in a car accident and thats why his face is all messed up. he gets married and Miles talks to his ex about her being pregnant. Maya talks to Miles about his book and says its okay shes not mad at him and she is bugged about the ending cause it doesn't say if the depressed man killed himself or not.

9/10 film a great small picture
