Acting- This film had a top notch acting from a top notch cast. In comparison to the book, Everyone played their roles perfectly.
Writing- The script for this film was rather good in comparison to its source. Its filled with good dialouge, twists, turns, chills, thrills and good development.
Story- The story is definately a great one that is free of flaws and keeps you deeply intruiged throughout.
Directing and Visuals- I found this film to be a little off compared to Martin's other work. It didnt seem to fit his style at times but he still pulled off a great film. If your looking for the same Scorcese feel and look, you wont find that here.
Overall- This is a good film but it isnt a Scorcese classic. And in comparison to its source, It does a fine job at capturing the characters and scenery of the book. Fans of the book will fancy this film but hardcore Scorcese fans may think otherwise.
4/5
