Scarface: Review By Charles DeMar

Growing up all I would hear about was how awesome this movie was. Because of this I have very very high expectations. I finally decided to get the DVD and watch it for the 1st time in 06. It did not meet my expectations.

I'm not saying that it sucked as you can see from my rating. I just don't feel that it is as good as everyone acts like. The 1st half and the end of the movie are the best. The 30-40 mins (I'm guessing at the length of time) of the movie after he comes to power seems to drag. Not much going on there except for doing drugs. The ending is really good though.

I can see how this movie may have been considered to be so awesome given the time it was released. Again, I did like it but I still feel it's overrated.
