Saw IV: Review By Love & Napalm

Sequels trying to live up to the original is a dangerous game to play. I just wish this game was over!

There's no denying Saw IV kicks off on the right note. Within minutes your moving around in your seat trying to hide from the screen while your stomach has run back down to the foyer banging on the box office window wanting a refund! Sadly that's seems to be where it ends.

Tobin Bell without a doubt is this films highlight. He's been the driving force in keeping these films entertaining, and unfortunately he may never recieve the credit he deserves as an actor. But as for the film itself? Without ruining to much and spoiling this films 'twist'. It just lacks a little bit of everything, and I found myself constantly asking myself 'why'. Why is that character doing that? Why this, why that etc etc. The big let down which could have elevated the films short comings was the ending, or the 'twist'. All I could say to myself was the biggest 'WHY?' It will make more sense to those rabid fans who want to make it make more sense, and good for those folk. But for me at the point the film could have hit a high note, it hit a real bum one! I love the origianal 'Saw', it is a true modern day classic. This sadly is just a sequel.........

Thank you! Nice to see SOMEONE who has actually SEEN the film offering a review. I'll buy the DVD, but only because I buy all kinds of lame sh*t. Definitely won't see it in the theater.

Nice. SAW is a lame franchise now any way. I haven't wasted my time on this crap since the second one totally blew.
