This is one of those movies that can not get it self right. It just have to put a mix of the two together, super spy and close to the real world type. Which never works in my view at all. This movie is sure not in the same level as Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, The Grid, The Hunt For Red October, Clear And Present Danger and The Assignment. I saw in an interview on the network morning news, Angelina Jolie got to meet with real women that works in CIA. I take it women who are Operation Officers. But from what she does in the trailer, it look like her character was with the CIA's National Clandestine Service's Special Activities Division. I don't think there are women in that section at all in the real world. It all men like Special Forces is only that. Because Special Activities Division most of the time is embeded with Special Forces. By the if I wanted female spy I go with Tom Clancy's Mary Pat Foley (her husband Pat Foley also a CIA Operation Officer, but not with SAD) from The Cardinal of the Kremlin and The Red Rabbit, not SALT at all.
