Rocky Balboa: Review By SCREENWRITER

The first time I saw this movie I didn't think it was all that great. I never saw any of the others at that time so I didn't quite care for this. But I saw a USED copy of this at FYE [For your entertainment] for about three bucks. Now, three bucks for a 2006 movie is not bad at all! So, I could'nt resist, even though I remember not liking this. I am 100 percent glad that I bought this because after giving this another watch [and after seeing all the other Rocky films], I liked this one much MUCH better than I did the first time I saw it. So, I am glad that I bought this and added it to my collection.

THE GOOD OF THE MOVIE:

This movie really makes you feel good about yourself, just like the first Rocky movie. This is a happy movie that will make you want to acomplish something and I really like how Stallone wrote a dramatic sequal.

THE BAD OF THE MOVIE:

I thought the movie was a little too short and I really wanted to see more between Rocky and the Steps character. I wanted to see them bond a little more, like Clint Eastwood and the boy from 2008's "Gran Torino".

ACTING:

The movie has good acting. Stallone never dissapoints me. He always does a stand-up job and he even writes, directs, and starred in this Rocky epic. So, can I get a clap for Stallone. Stallone stars in other movies such as "First Blood", "Rambo", "Rocky", "Stop! Or my Mom Will Shoot", and more. So, a good job to Stallone for his role in this sixth Rocky film.

DIRECTION:

Stallone does a great job directing this movie but I felt that the angles of this were like a Docudrama kind of. You know what I mean? It wasn't a big deal or anything but thats just how it was shot.

VISUALS:

The last twenty minutes of the movie are thrilling and the big fight looks great. I love how he used Black and White at the end to really sp*ce up the ending. So, good job.

OVERALL:

Overall, a good movie to really enjoy. I had a good time watching this and I really do recommend this. So, I say see this right now!
