Rise of the Planet of the Apes: Review By MovieWiz001
In the year of our Lord, 2011, patriots of the jungle, starving and outnumbered, charged the fields of the world. They fought like warrior poets. They fought like Apes. And won their freedom.

'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' is centered on genetic research. Will is a doctor trying to cure Alzheimers, a disease that afflicts his father. He's working with monkeys to create a benign virus that can get into brain tissue and restore functionality. After his research is shut down he's left with just one chimp, the child of his most promising subject, and Will raises him at home. Young Caesar is incredibly intelligent for an ape, and over time he continues to mutate and evolve, looking less like a chimp and moving on from sign language to actual speech. Eventually Caesar ends up leading an army of apes in an uprising just as a catastrophe strikes mankind.
Rupert Wyatt is a smart guy, in my opinion. Telling the story to the rising of these apes would be a long thing to tell and this was indeed a complicated takeover. I'm proud of this film mostly for that. I was a bit depressed that a couple of scenes were taken out of the film which was the female ape that Caesar met and the explosion of the lab. So, don't get too use of the trailers. I also like the physical stuff throughout the film. They had everything in a realistic dialogue and treated it very well. And they were also smart for this film not to be in 3D. I mean, who would enjoy $#%@ being flung to their face?
The acting is, of course, superb from our great cast! James Franco was truly great in this film, I just really want to see him in '127 Hours'. The best out of this whole cast is predictably Andy Serkis. This guy is a superb actor and playing Caesar was the perfect roll. They have this guy signed into four films with this high-tech suit and he'll nail them all! I really excited to see him in 'The Adventures of Tintin' and returning to play the gollum in the two-parted prequel, 'The Hobbit'. Which makes me want to talk about the visual effects. I hope this film at least gets nominated for Best Visual Effects at the Academy Awards, because Weta has done it again! There are several times in the film that you can't tell if the apes are in CG or not when the whole time, they were using these motion capture suits like in James Cameron's 'Avatar'. This film truly deserves that Oscar and my vote for that is already in. The particle on the apes that would seem the most realistic is the eyes as most of us said and that's true, because it's really unnoticeable. No droughts that this will be visually stunning to you.
Okay, I'm going to wrap this up, since I don't have much to say. This film is very welcome to join the Apes franchise and is to be known by many in all the years to come. We will love 'Planet of the Apes', we will love 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes'. To all of the fans of the original, I say 'Go see it ASAP.'. I'm the MovieWiz, thanks for reading.

@moviewiz001 HEY! You added "$#%@ being flung". Awesome. Splendid review, although I didn't really care for the actors. Franco seemed bored with his role or something.
