    yes it takes place 7 years after when 1 2 and 3 resident evil started it was then. Then Leons story *blonde guy in the clips* His story line took place either from 1-3 years i dnt exactly remember ill look it up but he was posted in racoon city becus of the outbreak n the messed up creature with the big eye that is doctor william berkin from Resident evil 2 who injected himself with the virus (they didnt invent the t-virus till resident evil 3) he was dying and he injected it to save himself and so that the umbrella corporation wouldnt get it

    Okay, so this in no way relates to the RE movies. Claire Redhead is in it, but thats about the only correlation. This is more like -- a true adaptation of the game series, rather than a continuation of the film series..?? I read somewhere that they are in talks with Sony to develop "Resident Evil: Afterlife," which will continue Alice's revenge on the Umbrella Corp. and take place in Tokyo, Japan and Alaska. Oh and Claire Redfield and Leon are in it.

    I think you're mostly right there AshiKumo, though I knew Milla Jovovich wasn't going to be in it, and I knew that Claire and Leon were the characters. All I'm saying is that other characters might get cameos. Like Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, even Albert Wesker. I look forward to this movie with all of my heart.

    first of guys it isn't mila it's claire redfield starring and leon s kennedy the movie is suposed to play after the 4th game where leon is in spain and i supose he returns to us and claire is the red haired girl i supose she is still searching for his brother and i think this is gonna be a movie like the 2nd game where leon and claire meet in racoon but this time it is gonna be another city possible a city with an airport ;)

    If this movie is based on the game Resident evil 2, then Jill is not in it. Besides Claire Redfield(from the movie Extinction), new characters Leon S Kennedy and Ada Wong should be in it. Ada is somewhat of a mystery, stay tuned.
