Red Eye: Review By SCREENWRITER

You know what I think? I think you're not such an honest person. Because I've followed you for eight weeks now and I never once saw you order anything but a f*cking seabreeze!

Alright....is this movie probably one of the most thrilling films in the last ten years? Yea, I would say so. This movie has a very interesting plot and a very cool way of being made. I like how the movie is dark and the trailers make it look like a horror movie. But when you see it, it's not! It's a, to steal a quote, "A Killer of a Thriller"! I really enjoyed watching this movie. When The Cryptkeeper asked me if I saw this movie I told him YES and the fact that I owned it on DVD. After him asking me if I saw this I suddenly wanted to write a review for it cause' I think it's such a good movie. It's interesting, funny, thrilling, and it has it's few 'holy crap' moments. lol. So, do I say see "Red Eye", if you haven't. I don't just say yes...I say HELL YES!

THE GOOD OF THE MOVIE:

Wes Craven directs a thrilling film with great performences by Rachel McAdams and Cillian Murphy. They both really make a scare of a film in which since the actors are pretty much the only characters in the movie...they create a great movie.

THE BAD OF THE MOVIE:

The only bad is the length of the movie. It was a little too short. I wanted it to be...oh I don't know...at least another 10 to 15 minutes longer than what it was. It was only 85 minutes. But hey, in that 85 minutes, I watched one hell of a movie.

ACTING:

Rachel McAdams plays Lisa. She does a great job as the 'innocent' main character in the movie. In this movie, she must do a small job on a airplane for an assassion or her father will die. She does a great job in her role. I love McAdams in all her roles anyhow. Cillian Murphy, the man with the creepy eyes plays the perfect villian in this killer of a thriller. He plays Jackson Rippner, the assassion of the movie who orders a movie to do a small job on an airplane or he'll kill her father. He is creppy, insane, and funny in this movie in which creates the perfect bad guy for a film. Great job, Cillian! Rachel McAdams stars in other movies such as "The Family Stone", "Married Life", "Wedding Crashers" and next week she has a new movie coming out called "State of Play". I can't wait to see it and see her in it as well. Cillian Murphy stars in other movies such as "Batman Begins", "Watching the Detectives", "Breakfast on Pluto", "Sunshine", and is soon to be in " The Water", and already came out with 2008's "The Edge of Love". All and all, good acting. Brian Cox co-stars!

VISUALS:

Not a big visual type-movie but other than the small amount of visuals in this, Rachel McAdams looks hot in this...as always!

DIRECTION:

Wes Craven directs another great movie!

OVERALL:

Overall, I say see this if you haven't! It's fun to watch, really. So, see this, scrath that, buy this movie on DVD and add it to your collection. It's in mine and it always will be!

I too loved this thrill ride. It really shows that Wes Craven can make more than just a gory film like Scream or Nightmare on Elm Street.
