The movie revolves around 4 ex - CIA operatives, who are now RED - Retired and Extremely Dangerous - and are, therefore, pursued by other government types who want them all dead.
John Malkovich plays Marvin, a paranoid ex - CIA operative, and he his hilarious in this role, as only John Malkovich can be. Richard Dreyfus plays a wonderful bad guy known as Alexander Dunning.
This movie has action in it, but it is at its best when the suspense builds throughout the movie as to who exactly wants these 4 ex CIA operatives to be dead.
Mary - Louise Parker shines as a witty, and very sexy, love interest of Bruce Willis's character.
This is all that is good about this movie.
Morgan Freeman, John Malkovich, and Helen Mirren play 3 of the 5 major characters in this movie, but we do not get to see them for most of the entire movie. It is a big waste of talent.
The beginning of this movie was very slow, and choppy during some later scenes. This movie was enjoyable, and entertaining, while watching it in the movie theater. However, the movie did not stay with me at all as soon as I got out of the movie theater, and up to the date and the time of this review.
I went to see the 07:50 p.m. showing of 'Red', with my friend Michael, on Friday evening, October 29, 2010, at the Palisades Center AMC Loews Cinemas, theater number 15, at the Palisades Mall, West Nyack, New York State.

Dude, we don't need to know what exact theater you went to, your degrees and name, all that personal biz... at least I wouldn't tell people. All sorts of creeps out there, man..
