RED the story of some old time agents who know to much so the Government is out to get em'. Its extremely fun, but lacks in story and character development. I feel like this idea has been recycled so many times. Some old timers doing something and the younger guys are going after them.

I feel that Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, and Mary Louise Parker lack in there performances and did not convince me at all in their characters. Although I understood what the characters were suppose to be feeling, I still believe that there could have been more. There are some up sides, John Malkovich and Helen Mirren gave great performances. Many of the comedic moments in the movie come from Malkovich. I feel he is the reason the movie was entertaining.

There were many visually pleasing scenes in the movie that will make any guy jump out of their seats. Scenes like Bruce Willis walking out of the spinning car and John Malkovich blowing the rocket launcher up. It was a great action movie.

Altogether, although there were some pleasing moments and performances, that doesn't make up for what the movie is lacking. Rental!

I think this review will end up being the most honest one. I'll see it only if my friend wants to when he returns from college every other week. Otherwise, I too may wait for a rental.

The idea is nothing new, and seems to be a response to younger generation's sudden desire to see old time actors kickass. Though I myself don't include Malkovich & Willis in that category. Kinda like, they all loved Betty White on SNL, so let's gather some guys for another one of these movies. Granted it's based on a GN from DC, and was in pre-pro long before the SNL thing, you still get my drift.

Rating is a bit odd. I'm seeing this movie for sure.

3.5 is a rental for you? That's some pretty high standard. Decent review, though I'm still planning on seeing this one.
