'Real Steel' Review By Gabe Campbell
Rocky meets Transformers
A retired pugilist transitions to the business side of the ropes after human boxers are replaced by robotic ones
Set in the near future, where robot boxing is a top sport, a struggling promoter feels he's found a champion in a discarded robot. During his hopeful rise to the top, he discovers he has an 11-year-old son who wants to know his father. Now I really had high hopes for this movie but the trailers really let me down because the trailer made it look like rockem sockem robots. But never judge a movie by the trailer I loved Real Steel it was a great movie. The story was really good lots of great moments but I think some of the things with the robots were rushed like I wanted to see Atom the main robot train more but that is a very small problem. The acting is great Hugh Jackman is awesome like always Dakota Goyo was great and Evangeline Lilly was very good too.
The Direction was very good Shawn Levy did a great job filming the action and the shaky cam was great in this movie during the boxing matches.
Now the visuals are outstanding The robots look amazing the boxing matches were awesome I loved everyone of them and they have a boxing montage with Atom and it is awesome.
So Real Steel in not a steel of your money New York post said it was a steel of your money but it really is not and I hope you see this movie 9.5/10 for Real Steel
