Based on the book The Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice, Damned continues the story of the Vampire Lestat, Tom Cruise's character in Interview With the Vampire. Lestat has become a rock star, but his music wakes up the 6,000-year-old queen of the vampires, Akasha (Aaliyah), who then decides she wants Lestat to help her get revenge on some of her former male followers and to co-rule the vampires with her.

Put aside the fact that te movie is a disgrace to the book, all it has is a poor storyline (since basically everything is cut out), a clichee 'lovestory'
no character development (let alone let us learn any names, vampires are suddenly there, and no-one ever explains who they are)
I agree Aaliyah did a good job in the movie but definitely to save it!
Great let down, after the the quite decent adaption of the first book.

Very. Actually, I had just started my DVD collection that same year, in '02, and had about 10 DVDs that I let a friend borrow. Then her loser boyfriend kind of stole them from HER posession and sold them for drugs and whatnot.
I was sooooooooo pissed when she told me!

Someone stole it from you? That's lame.

I used to have this movie until someone stole it from me. :(
Aaliyah was the only part about this movie making it worth watching. EXCELLENT performance. What a way to end her legacy... *sniffle*
