WOW! i just got back from seeing this and im amazed, i heard mixed reviews but i gotta say i enjoyed this a "LOT" even more than "cloverfeild! alright enough jibber jabbing get to the review!

Movie not for the nauseous & anti moving camera view.

With that aside, this is an incredibly scary movie. The beginning may be a bit slow but it develops and sets the mood. Once inside the building, the horror begins.

Of all the characters, J. Carpenter did a very good job being the hysterically scared woman. The rest arent that bad & can be considered believable. and some of the pepole you may know from other films such as "jay herdandez" he played paxton in hostel. The suspense was always there & considering after all the other scary movies you probably watched, u can expect what could happen next. I'll admit some of the characters are pretty dumb at times but it's one of those moments you forget the threats are around you.

There are a couple of scares, heart racing moments, and jump out of your seat frighteners. If you pay attention to all the information, the story plot is there although not complete. When it was over, it made me think of what I would do if I was in that situation. Wait it out? since there are no exits. and another thing the last 10 mins are realy intense though as you know this is more jumpy than scary but still does it well and i thought it was way better than cloverfield!

i sudjest you see this movie now its a horror film that has to be seen in theaters, and its on my top list of horror films.

    its the same movie shot by shot, the guys who made [rec] made this for american viewers and no subtitles! but if you wanna see a hoter chick go see it but i thought rec was better.

    my problem is that in 48 hours those creatures are still in there and that camera was on the top floor WITH that guy, so unless they went in guns blazing, they wouldn't have just STUMBLED upon the camera.

    also i thought it was lame that they showed the end in the trailer. sure you assume everyone dies, and thats a good assumption. BUT they shoudlnt have shown how Jennifer Carpenter dies. even though when you see the trailer, you dont know its the end, its still lame anyway

    Actually Crypt... its next to useless because any smart movie fantatic can figure out that everybody dies in this flick simply by viewing the trailer. This was their promo:

    "In March 2008 the U.S. government issued an emergency order sealing off an apartment complex in Los Angeles, California.

    48 hours later a hazmat team was sent to investigate the quarantined building.

    Authorities have denied any knowlege of the incident.

    The residents were never heard from again.

    There were no explanations.

    There was no evidence.

    Until now." and wahlah.... they find a tv network camera on the floor.

    HELLO??? If anyone had made it out alive, wouldn't they have told everyone what happened.... but there was NO EVIDENCE, NO EXPLANATIONS, AND THE RESIDENTS WERE NEVER HEARD FROM AGAIN. Duh.

    So everybody dies.... just like in the Blair Witch Project and Cloverfield. JR is giving nothing away that any smart person can't figure out on their own. And if someone can't figure it out before they watch the movie... they deserved to have the ending spoiled. haha

    awesome review JR. i dont agree however. i thought everyone did a great job, and wasnt slow that the beginning. and justas an FYI, that spoiler alert is next to useless, because sence its only 2 words, you can still tell what those 2 words are without even wanting to read them. maybe a sugestion, add it in the last paragraph. but hey, its your review

    Duh... I haven't seen the movie because I FIGURED everyone would die. I mean... they're NOT letting anyone OUT for a reason. haha Also... the trailer says that there was no evidence about what happened in that apartment building until now (meaning the film in the camera)... so obviously no one made it out alive to tell anyone what happened. Its really not a spoiler JR.... but I guess for the "not so bright" people, its a good warning.
