History has indeed repeated itself. Punisher War zone is the third installment into the Punisher franchise. This was truly a big disappointment. When I first heard that Lexi Alexander was directing Punisher War zone I thought it was going to be awesome. She did a great job on Green Street Hooligans (if you haven’t seen it you must). But upon watching this movie I was greatly disappointed.

Ray Stevenson is truly the only thing in Punisher that is good. Punisher War zone has bad acting throughout the film. Ray Stevenson was the only one whose acting was good. Everyone else seemed like they didn’t take the time to work on the characters they were portraying. They just didn’t put their heart into doing the movie. I found that the actor who was portraying Jigsaws brother did a horrible job. He was annoying to watch. The guy sounded like he was reading of a card that he couldn’t really see. Then the scene with the acrobat guys doing flips off buildings and walls was a waste of time. The only other thing I can say that was a positive was the action.

Punisher is a dark story. It’s about Frank Castle whose an ex marine and an ex cop. Who’s out to avenge his family’s death after they were brutally murdered in front of him in a park. He’s out to punish those who do harm to the innocent. And I think having those little parts that are supposed to be funny in this kind of movie just doesn’t work. I found that the Punisher with Tomas Jane and John Travolta was more enjoyable then this film was.

I wouldn’t recommend seeing this film. It was a big let down.

    I agree. Although i liked stevenson as castle cuz he really looked the part. i also liked the inclusion of microchip but newman from seinfeld was definitely not the guy to cast as him. at least there was no over the top stunts like punisher crashing through brick walls which would cause him to die like in the last one with tom jane, but instead we get no rebecca romijn, no bad guy actor as badass as travolta and cheezy cheezy acting. wtf was up with that stupid jigsaw actor and his retarded costume not to mention the dimwit brother like you said who ruined the film. horrible all around. i liked the scene where castle lights the red flame and twirls around the chandelier shooting everyone though from the red band trailer. that was the only cool part.
