Frank Castle, the ex-military man whose family was killed by criminals, who became a vigilante known as the Punisher, goes after a whole mob family and gets everyone except enforcer Billy Russoti. He tracks Russoti down and chases him into a vat that is used for crushing bottles. Frank turns on the crusher hoping it would take care of him but it doesn't. He survives but sustains very severe injuries that even with plastic surgery his face looks like a jigsaw puzzle. So he decides to adopt the name Jigsaw. Frank who killed one of Russoti's people who unknown to him is an undercover Fed, decides to pack it in. But when he learns Russoti didn't die and is looking for the money he entrusted to the Fed and will go looking for it at his home which means his family is in danger. So Frank tries to save them. But Russoti wants revenge on Frank so he breaks out his brother who is so crazed that he is committed to an asylum, to deal with him. And also another Fed who's a friend of the man Frank killed wants him too.
Pretty much, you can tell that they are trying to make you say 'wow cool' in some of those action sequences, but in reality, it makes you say 'wtf'. For example, there's a scene that Frank breaks into this house and killed this guard by punching him (once) in the face. But the weird thing is, is that his one fist ran right through the skull which made his face wide open... That was pretty funny btw. I also laughed at this really fake looking scene, that these runners be jumping from rooftop to rooftop, and then all of the sudden one of them was hit by a missile. You will not hold your laugh. There was only one action sequence that I did enjoy and it was when he was on that chandelier and shooting everybody in a 360. That's it.
The movie is pretty weird also. I just.... don't get that cannibal, because I think he is just too nuts! What was the meaning to that mirror breaking scene. I mean he's just jumping and and breaking each mirror and the main villain is just over there, laughing. This does include Frank, randomly fixing his nostril by sticking a pencil up there and just break it. There are many retarded scenes in this film, you can't miss it.
Well the acting did not go well. it was actually pretty bad. I mean most of them didn't do good, but some did kinda. I don't really want to identify because I can't remember their names and I don't feel like looking it up. But they did sounded pretty dry and fake, you know. But by Ray Stevenson's looks, he was good choice to portray 'The Punisher'. I mean yeah, you can tell by that, because the film had some pretty awesome posters of him, and the logo is perfectly designed. If only it was as good as the movie came out to be. Well actually, I didn't want another remake just yet. Just wait longer and don't over-exaggerate with action. I do not like the idea of making a Spider-man remake, but if the film turns out good or bad, still, no sequel to it. As you all know that Marvel is going mad with remakes, it's just hurting. And we haven't had one guy who plays Hulk and stay as Hulk. 2010 does not mean you can remake everything from the past, you have brains, make something new.
I don't know if this film compares to the comics very well, but either way it's still horrible. Of course, many of you read comic books, so you may let me know by posting a comment below. But I would mostly prefer the Thomas Jane 'Punisher', because that one is just awesome. you'll enjoy it.
Okay, I need to end this so I can hit the hay. The movie is horrible and I totally don't recommend unless you're a person who loves the films 'Crank' or 'Gamer' then you'll might enjoy this. But I do think that the following is one of the worst films that I've ever seen and 'War Zone' adds up to it. But I hope you enjoyed my review, because this is the quickest I've created. Thanks for reading.

Roger Ebert of the Chicago Sun-Times awarded the film two out of four stars, writing "You used to be able to depend on a terrible film being poorly made. No longer. The Punisher: War Zone is one of the best-made bad movies I've seen." And that the film's only flaw is "that it's disgusting".
