Prometheus: Review By Forrestgump1
Prometheus is a fantastic sci-fi spectacle. It does leave some minor questions blank that can be confusing. But with its daring visuals, amazing story and outstanding performances. Ridley Scott is at the top of his game. One of the best films this year

Story: (5/5) - Well its hard to come across an idea as original as Prometheus. But while its a sort of distant cousin to Alien it still has its own plot to it. While these story is basically discussing the origin of life and how mankind was created. In the distant future of 2089 A team of researches, biologist and geologists scientists and a nifty Android searching for a lost civilization that parashied long ago. But what the researchers discover is something they only dreamed about. Its needed to understand you can not got into this movie based of the looks of the trailer. Because really in my opinion once you see the film. The trailer really shows us nothing other than a basic storyline. The story-telling in this movie is breathtaking and moves at such an amazing pace i could not believe what i was watching. Its so good it just keeps building on itself. While at the same time not trying to be Alien like while although it may seem that way. Acting (5/5) - thanks to the stunning and immersible talent of Micheal Fassbender and the Ripley-esq persona Noomi Rapace making the jump from Foreign language films The Girl series. Delivers an electrifying performance that deserves some Oscar buzz. While Idris Elba and Charlize Thereon round out the cast in a good way and on a high note. Direcing: (5/5) When you have Ridley Scott directing a Science Fiction film you should typically know what your in and ready for. Prometheus did not only that but turned the genre upside down and has refined it and set a bar so substantially high..just like Alien did back when it was released. Scott knows how to take a story at these kind of lengths and make it worth while and well worth the price of admission alone ..for lack of better words if your not planning on going to see this film. You may as well not see another Science Fiction film. Visuals (4,5/5) - While i opted for the 2D showing instead of 3D the visuals were still stunning enough ...while not being to gory but it still has all the elements of the perfect film.
Overall: (4.5/5) - Prometheus is a fantastic sci-fi spectacle. It does leave some minor questions blank that can be confusing. But with its daring visuals, amazing story and outstanding performances. Ridley Scott is at the top of his game. One of the best films this year. Now the only reason im not rewarding the film with the coveted 5 star rating is because the film did leave me blank and confused at times and the film does start off kind of slow. But believe me do not let that stop you. In the long run when things start to get esque then your in for it. Prometheus is the perfect fan-boy and geek movie to flock to and was one of the most anticipated movies this summer and well lives up the unprecedented height i had for it. The film also achieves kudos from me ..for not being afraid to take the R rating. While here i guess it really does not make a difference the R rating really made it stand out and not afraid Scott had final cut privilege and he made the right decision. There really is alot of Prometheus that could be say..all the wormholes and plot points you can discuss and you honestly could go on for Hours at where the film was going. What was intended i still do not know if this was supposed to be a prequel to Alien or not. But im not going to dive into that worm pool. I loved Prometheus and thought it was a fantastic film ..one not to be missed this is for sure.
