I originally saw this available for rent at Blockbuster, but I just figured it would be lame, so I just skipped it. As I have said with many other movies, this was on HBO, so I started to watch it. It seemed decent, so I didn't watch it. I know that sounds wierd, right. Well I didn't watch it because I wanted to rent it and have everything be a surprise. Anyway, I was looking for this at Blockbuster, and it wasn't there, so instead I got another crocodile movie- Rogue. But next time I went to Blockbuster, they had Primeval back in, so I got it. I am glad I rented it, it was worth the watch, but it wasn't anything AWESOME, or INCREDIBLE, nor was it anything I would buy.

I thought the story was fair, but not too original. It is based on a true story, which really makes me not want to go in the water. I am already scared to DEATH by sharks. A group of journalists go to Africa, to get the story. The story being a huge killer crocodile!!!! But in the midst of it all, there is a war going on. So they have to try to not get killed by the crocodile (nicknamed Gustave), and the soldiers. Both are deadly, but I am sure you know which would be worse to encounter.

The acting is very good and believabe, but then again the acting is not something that requires a large amount of skill either. But the acting was definitely good, and not cheesey.

The visuals are pretty cool too. As I said in my Rogue review, the crocodile looks real. Well that goes for Primeval as well. Very scary, and not computer animated. Though I am sure in like 5 to 10 years, it will look fake.

Overall 3.5, because it is not INCREDIBLE, but nowhere near a waste of time. Yes, I do recommend this.

He tends to overact. I'm thankful that he didn't have a huge part in "Sin City" because the only two movies he did really good in were "Halloween H20: Halloween 20 Years Later" and "30 Days of Night."

Well, i will say that the Numbr 23 was boring to some. personally, i was entertained for every second! but i guess because thers no action, people get bored witha a good movie. its a 5 star for me.

and i only saw the first Ace Ventura. i didnt bother with the second. besides, i dont know which is which anyway. lol they both suck, and i havent even seen te secnd! lol the end of the first is what made me not want to see the second. and plus it was just a sucky movie

No. I said I liked the sequel, "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective." I never said it was the BEST movie ever made, I just said it was funny. There are some things that make me shake my head in disgust, I'll admit, but it was overall rather funny. YOU HAVEN'T SEEN "THE MASK?!?!?!?!?!" YOU NEED TO! Of course "Son of the Mask" sucked. Jim Carrey wasn't in it! Yea, everyone I talked to about it said that it was terrible, but I'll give it a chance.

I think it's called "The Yes Man," and I know what you're talking about, should be good. I miss Carrey's old stuff. I thought that "Ace Ventura: Pet Detective" was hilarious. "Liar Liar" has got to be one of my all time favorite Jim Carrey movies. Also, there's "The Mask," that if you haven't seen, then DO! I haven't seen "The Number 23" because everyone says it was terrible. So maybe I'll check it out sometime.

NO, I like Jim Carrey. hes cool. i said what Jim Carrey "USED" to be, meaning i hated Ace Ventura, but liked Bruce Almighty, and his recent stuff. The Number 23, being his best preformance, and movie. if you havent seen that, you must.

also he has some new movie called "Yes". i saw the poster for it at Lakeview Terrace
