President's Day (2010)

“President’s Day” is a gruesome horror-comedy that’s inspired by a healthy mix of presidential politics and campy ‘80s slasher films, where a high school election turns deadly after a homicidal maniac dressed as Abraham Lincoln starts murdering the candidates. The filmmakers describe this comedic horror film as a mix between “Election” and “Sleepaway Camp Part 2.” There is also a clear current social satire in “President’s Day,” as all the characters have names that echo those of the last US presidential election.
