Here it is, PREDATORS a sequel worthwhile. It starts off with a heavily equipped man falling to his doom (straight to the point) this man is Royce a mercenary, who crash lands on this alien planet. A Game reserve, so quoted, and they are the game, most defiantly. Here he meets Michelle Rodriguez lookalike Isabelle(Alice Braga) and many others, an inmate, Machete (DANNY TREJO) "MACHETE DONT TEXT" well Machete don't do much in this but get bumped off, everyone except the three main leads, Adrian Brody (Royce) Alice Braga (Isabelle) and Topher Grace someone who turns out to be not as sweet natured as we thought. Together they trudged about, all the while being watched by two kinds of beasts, the newly refurbished revolutionized PREDATOR and a HAMBURGER MUCHER, no not the old skinny 1980's Predator, LAURENCE FISHBURNE, a chubby teddy bear out in the jungle, possible high on ACID, or Weed. Nah...he's crazed after being stranded for a millennium, so i think, anyway here we find out the true nature of the place. Always on the go they set out one problem after another.
This film holds a great resemblances to the first and foremost only original Predator feature,, so I thought, as this Sci-Fi packs a punch, here the cinematography done masterfully by Gyula Pados Captures the old grittiness, the feeling of the first film, except there's no Arnie to annoy us.
The music tweaked by John Debney is possibly the best score he has ever created. Giving it more of a punch, also the recording and the digital age and computer sound effects and SXF and everything else is a whole lot bigger and better. The editing is in the same pace, the same fashion, thanks to Dan Zimmerman. The true hero is ROBERT along with Nimrod, capturing this new planet they have set about, instead of the Brother Straus's volcanic world that resembled STAR WARS 3. Instead it is logical it is set about like a jungle, so they can train, hunt, build their knowledge and alternate what their weapon systems already are. The feud between these new Pred's will please diehard fans who have been reading any and almost every possible comic or graphic novels that have things like that in there. The look the feel, the pacing, and the casting is grand, building this world further. A Cult Classic, low, low budget, cheap, jazzy and not just a great sequel but a great opening to possible a great series to commence, only if Robert stays put in producers grounds and if Nimrod feels worthy enough.

the film was definitely mediocre, not for some of us. Been a fan of the franchise but doesn't appeal at all!

@CultClassics: Lovin this! I agreed 100% with this review. Enjoyable flick with great potential at the start, but peters out in a bunch of action scenes, which is okay too. I regard the first two as cult classics (I know the 2nd one isn't liked, but I saw alot of iconic scenes there). Keep working on your reviewing style man! You're shaping up to be a fine addition to MovieWeb.
I would define "Blade Runner" as a pristine example of Diaigma's definition of a "cult classic," in that it failed at the box office, but became a cultural phenomenon later on. That's the correct definition too. Also, successful films like "Alien," which typically don't rake in the bucks for that genre --but surprisingly do-- can also qualify as a cult classic given the amount of people who love it, but not its sequels or other sci-fi horror films that hit theaters every halloween.

Maybe, since Cult is well defined. Would be awkward if you labeled stuff out of context, you know? :P

What do you consider a cult classic then? Wiki defines it as "a movie that attracts a devoted group of followers or obsessive fans, despite having failed commercially on its initial release." Predators did pretty darn well. Tripled its budget. Otherwise, not a bad second review. A little less ramble and you're gold :)
