well, that's what this movie was for me, which should explain my generous scores for the movie, including my 4.5 star overall rating.
it reminded me of some acid trips i had; one in particular, where two guys were trying to out-confuse each other with word-fragments, and sudden gasps of air, like they were coming out of the water or something. turned out the one kid, greg, was just playing around, but the other guy, tim was NOT playing and by the next morning his ship had sailed and it took days for him to get back to something-along-the-lines-of normal.
but, nastalgia aside, it had a great angle on the whole mass-hysteria/biohazard storyline which is of course that it was from the point of view of the radio station that tries to talk you through all the madness.
stephen mchattie (aka the poor man's lance henriksen) has a GREAT radio-voice and his acting was quite respectable, as was par for his peers in this production.
i'm not gonna break down every little nuance of the story for you, if that's what you want then ask travis to review the movie for you, he's great at that sort of thing. i'm just going to tell you that i watch a lot of movies ranging from so bad that you pray for death for the people involved in making it, to so good that it makes you want to be a film-maker yourself, and this falls more toward the latter than the prior. good acting, good story, a healthy helping of originality and some good old-fashioned stoner-quality horror.
check it out.
or don't.
whatever.

Thanks for the shout-out, man lol And your reviews aren't bad. I've seen a hell of a lot worse on here.
You should def. keep it up, at least with the indy and/or foreign flicks that no one knows of.
