Point Break directed by Kathryn Bigelow is arguably a guy movie. I cannot see any girl liking this movie. Maybe tom girls but out of that matter this film is awesome. The footage that Bigelow captures on screen is just phenomenal. From the stunning surfing sequences and amazing camera work to the breathtaking skydiving scene. Bigelow does an outstaning job behind the screen and Point Break is her finest work to date. Keanu Reeves and Patrick Swayze are in the starring roles as Johnny Utah (Reeves), a rookie FBI agent and former Ohio State quarterback who is investgating a string of bank robberies by a gang called the Ex-Presidents wearing Nixon, Regan, Carter, and Johnson masks. These arent your normal violent criminals Utah is dealing with here. These bank robbers are also a pack of surfers. Utah goes undercover and pursuades surfer girl Tyler Endicott to teach him how to surf. Later in the film these two would get into a romantic relationship. Swayze comes into the film at this point as Bodhi a charismatic leader of a gang of four surfers. Utah then develops a complex relationship with Bodhi and they start to become aquantinces. (SPOILER) That is until Utah finds out Bodhi and his pack of surfers are the Ex-Presidents. The acting in the film ranges from decent to very good. Keanu Reeves gives one of his better performances (being not a big fan of his work). But Point Break is Swayze's film. He is terrific as Bodhi. Point Break is highly entertaining and hugely enjoyable, defining a truly great action film. The action is enthralling and the directing part of Bigelow is brilliant. I have to admit this film is my guilty pleasure. I could watch Point Break any time and would never get bored watching it. One of the best action films Ive seen, Point Break is just plain awesome.

Yeah The Hurt Locker seems better than this.
That will probably be Bigelow's best film.

"The Hurt Locker", just like this, is a total f*cking guy film. Much better though.

    Good review.
