What seemed so strange to you about the dialog in the movie ?

@themoviefanatic We can just continue to disagree then...

The dialogue seemed fine to me. Yes, the first and the fourth are the greatest ones.

@themoviefanatic We disagree a lot then. The third one sucked, worst of them all. First and second are the greatest, with the 4th standing on its own as good but not great. Not sure if the 5th will be good or not. The dialogue in the 4th movie felt strange so I'm not sure..

I disagree. The second and third movie are indeed the ones that were rushed, not the fourth one. I thought the newcomers of Pirates 4 were great in it. One of the Writers are re-writing the script for Pirates 5.

@themoviefanatic I liked this movie a lot, but it felt more rushed than the 2nd and 3rd. The first and second are the best of the four. The third one sucked and the fourth was good, but not great. The performances were good, I guess but I didn't like the newcomers. All and all, it was a good movie but I could careless if we got a 5th at this point.

It is an improvement over the seond and third movies, because of it having certain differences to the second and third movies. One of the differences between second and third movie compared to the fourth movie, is that the fourth movie was not filmed back to back with a fifth movie, like how the second and third movie were filmed back to back. Another thing is that Pirates 4 was not rushed into production like the second and third movie were. Also, this movie they focused more on the story/plot and the performance of the actors and actresses, like what @Movielocker said.

I completely disagree with you on that. This movie is as good as the first movie. The movies in this movie franchise, that were not as good as the first one and fourth one, were the second and third movies, because they were rushed when they were filmed back to back.

this movie sucks, so Boring. Depp's performance is awful in this, the only good thing is Penelope and Geoffrey Rush

@themoviefanatic I agree! In Pirates of caribbean, they don't target the comedy part, It's all about the story + the very amazing performance of actors and actresses...

I wasn't asking if you agreed or disagreed with me. It is worth to watch, considering it's made or $1 Billion dollars in the box office world wide, like how Pirates 2, that made over $1 Billion dollars.

You're Welcome. Actually i did get what you ment. They went for less comedy this time around, because of all the comedy used in Pirates 2 and Pirates 3, they were going for more action this time around, so that it would be more like Pirates 1. No, the plot isn't the same as the second and third movies, Hangover and Hangover 2 or two totoally different movie, so those movies, are not what's supposed to compared to the Pirates of the Caribbean movies. This movie made over 41 Billion dollars, because it is a successful movie franchise. Yeah, it's supposed to be a Pirate movie, thats the genre of these Pirates of the Caribbean movies. That's what had to be done for Pirates 4, to be good, meaning changing the places they filmed in, and adding the new cast. Yes, it is worth it, because of the previuos Pirates of the caribbean movies being successful in the box office worldwide.

Thnk u 4 reading my post very carefully. but u didn't get what i mean. Comedy is a must in this type of movie, it is more important if the theme is same. less comedy means less entertainment. If the plot is same, just the place changes, it doesn't feel as a change, like The Hangover & Hangover II movie. This movie made $1 billion dollars because people go in the theaters in hope of a fresh entertainment. but what the got? nothing. just a another pirate movie. does Hollywood lack good writers. no. there are so many fantastic writers. but the pirate makers just changed the place, added few new caste and a another movie is released. is this worth to watch. it would not be a waste only if u have a lot of time and don't know what to do with it, than watch this movie.

They were going for less comedy this time around in Pirates 4, unlike in Pirates 2 and Pirates 3 where there was too much comedy. Two characters died in Pirates 4, meaning Lt. Theodore Groves played by Greg Ellis, and Blackbeard played by Ian McShane, and they didn't come back, maybe Blackbeard will come back in Pirates 5, but that just a guess i have on that. Of course its going to have almost the same theme, it didn't have 100% percent of the same theme from the previous three movie though. It wasn't a waste, it made over $1 billion dollars world wide. It's a little too late to say to not go to the theaters to see it, because the Blu Ray is coming out in October and the DVD is coming out in November.

There are the actors and actresses from the first three movies who either didn't want to come back and/or didn't have any more stories for the characters they were playing in Pirates 1,2 and 3.

Well, that would of involved sub-plots and that's what they were not doing this time, because the more there is of that, then the more confusing it is to people, like what happened with Pirates 2 and Pirates 3. Pirates 4 is much more simplified like how Pirates 1 was, and it is that way with Pirates 4, because of what happend with Pirates 2 and Pirates 3.

@sean no no no i know what your saying and thats not what im saying, what im saying is i missed the play by play between characters and the witty witty humor between them, in this film its didnt seem it was their alot, like i said the little things, i miss how those 3 characters would play or each other and it didnt feel like it was scripted but the whole time it was improv, i hope you get what im trying to say now,

They ended Pirates 3 the way they did, because of the fact that Orlando Bloom and Keira Knightley's William Turner and Elizabeth Swann story in Pirates 1, 2 and 3 ended intentionally in Pirates 3, to start fresh with a new couple meaning Philip and Syrena played by Sam Claflin and Astrid Berges Frisbey.

i went and saw this movie this past weekends being a huge johnny depp / Catpain Jack Sparrow fan i have yto say i enjoyed it, but to me if felt like their were just a few things missing, maybe it was keira and orlando i miss, as always johnny depp delivered a perfect and funny performance of this character, despite a few things missing i look forward to the next few installments, these films are definatly worth watching over and over
