Not sure Lerman was right for this role in fact I'd have went with Jake Abel as Percy and gave Lerman his role. I kinda feel like Diaiqma's review quote above. Good just not great.

So far off the mark. This movie does the book an injustice. The acting was fine, but the screenplay was something entirely different. Several characters were dropped (like the true villains) and non needed ones were added. If you haven't read the book, you might like it. Ruined it for a decent sequel.

It was said he was 12 yo. - how can that be? He looked like he was 16 yrs. old. Amazing. He acted pretty mature for his age. He was Fantastic in it and such a fabulous actor!

I was waiting for this type of movie for the last few years. I mean an action one that doesn't have "dance" bars full of hallf naked women, drinking and smoking!! I discovered action PG movies! Almost every single movie in the last few years, theres always one person drinking!! What a bad message they are sending to our kids growing up!! If its restricted once in awhile thats OK. This was absolutely, a most wonderful movie. There was one part I didn't like at all but over all it was brilliant. Thank you!
