I still haven't seen the second film but I still have this movie. So this movie is about this couple that has been having these series of paranormal incidents and they want to capture it on tape and thats why the movie is a shaky cam movie. So the movie is basically the events leading up to the ending. What I like about this movie is that the editing is so unnoticed and there is very little subtitles and it just brings you into the movie and you feel like this really did happen. And when ever I watch this movie I get scared and I watched this movie at least 5 times. So the story is good.

The acting is also another reason you get so sucked into the movie's atmosphere. The ladie katie is great as her role and me as the audience really feel the desprate feeling she feeling and actually makes feel bad about the charactor. Now the guy named Micah is like a ticking time bomb and he has enough with the tormenting and is about to explode and he does at the end of the movie. And they are the only charactors in the movie except for Katie's sister which name i don't know was ok i guess. I didn't really care for her and she was just a minor part. So the acting is great and realistic.

The directing is great and he really wants the feeling of this film to be scary and realistic and he really nailed it. He made this movie for $11,000 and made a scary movie where like the unborn was made on a BIG budget and was not scary at all and just not an enjoyable film. And he pulls off really great camera angles. The directing is awsome and is possibly the greatest directing in horror film history.

The visuals are basically shadows of ghosts and plants blowing unexpectingly. But the thing is the visuals are so well pulled off and are basically seemlessly put on screen. The ambiant noises are as scary as the night itself. And the shadows are freaky. So Paranormal activity is a great horror flick that will keep you screaming even after the film and after you're done screaming you will be afraid to leave your bedroom door open at 3:30 in the morning. Trust me you WILL be scared!
