Paranormal Activity: Review By Messenger

I am going straight into this review.

The reason this film worked so well is the story is driven by the viewers imagination. It takes away from the fundamentals of film making, the basic things that make films predictable, i.e. if you are going to have an explosion you cut to a wide sh*t, etc. But with PA and it's expertly crafted "found footage" style, keeps you guessing and wondering what's going to happen next. Sound design plays 90% of the films effectiveness while the visuals are, you guess it, the other 10% but trust me it will have you on edge. My heart pounded and my nerves twisted during the film. But a nice touch the is the humor is placed through out. And last but not least the couples relationship feels real, I never once thought that this seems fake, it all flowed well.
