Pan's Labyrinth: Review By Horologii

I'm usually too indecisive to pick a favorite of anything, but I can definitively say that Guillermo del Toro's Pan's Labyrinth is my favorite movie. The acting is fantastic and the creatures and sets are incredible.

Some people thought it was only about a little girl and her fantasy adventures but that's only one element of the film. The adult characters are really multi-dimensional and the tension between the military officers and the guerillas was very intriguing. Overall the world and the characters are all very deep and realistic and the fantasy is the perfect icing on the cake.
