When a teenage girl is kidnapped by a serial killer her family faces the possibility show we be cut into 100 pieces. They decide to take matters into their own hands toting axes, hammers, and chainsaws.

Daniel Stern, Illeana Douglas, Kevin Pollak, and Jere Burns all come together for a good dark comedy about a serial killer and the family set on giving him a taste of his own medicine. Plus we get to see Ashley Johnson long after her days on Growing Pains playing Kirk Cameron’s little sister.

Otis feels more like a made for TV movie if a cable network could pay off the FCC. But it is still pretty good for straight to DVD.

Otis leaves you with a cliffhanger ending that definitely leaves room for a sequel. It is not a crowd pleaser for most movie goers, but is fun for the person who loves dark humor.
