And the best part is, its also hilarious. I can't remember how many days I've driven to work, and change lanes to have the lane slow down once I'm in it, and the previous lane I was in pick back up. I've had my battles with the office printers and fax machines, so when they toss the printer into the field and beat it to death with a bat like it was a person they hate, I can completely relate and laugh my ass off.
It's rare for me to rewatch comedies. Generally after I've seen them, I'm good. I know the gag lines, the jokes grow stale fast. It's not a slight against comedies, its just the nature of the genre. Office Space is that comedy that I can put in after a bad day at work, and feel instantly better knowing I'm not crazy, work really does suck in the same ways to me as it does to others.
For acting, it also helps that Ron Livingston is a master at natural procrastination. You take one look at the guy and know instantly that he's a fed up slacker. Jennifer Aniston is more then tolerable here, actually having one of the funniest moments where she expresses herself to her boss and the whole restaurant. So many times I've felt like doing the same exact thing. The supporting cast is excellent and extremely funny as well.
Growing up on Beavis and Butthead and King of the Hill, I've always been a Mike Judge fan. He expertly pokes fun at and brings up things we do and say on a daily basis, and I find myself getting reality checks while laughing my ass off at the same time.
Office Space is a classic that will stand the test of time.
