Obsessed: Review By sloog2

If you haven't become completely "obsessed" with this movie yet, then come with me and board the crazy train!

Obsessed brings together three absolutely amazing acting talents- Idris Elba, Beyonce Knowles, and Ali Larter along with Jerry O'Connell. For me, this script feels mind blowing, I mean, just the very concept of someone becoming slowly "obsessed" with you, stalking you every little minute, listening on in your phone conversations, riding in your car with you, stealing your baby, and secretly sneaking into your house... it's all so exciting! specially when the story can be told so many different ways.

Now, I had previously watched "Dreamgirls" the night before with Beyonce Knowles and seeing that transition in character she makes- Bravo Beyonce! She did amazing! And not just Idris Elbe but Ali Larter was one hell of a psycho-bitch! Everything about her from even before this film was put into thoughts- just makes her SO creepily mysterious. She was perfect for this role- like it was made for her!

The story- what would you do if you were just happily married, had a kid, moved into your new house for the first time and had to go into work the next morning to find your assistant sick- mysteriously? Keep on going throughout your normal day to find this new assistant crying over her break-up... don't console her but you do it anyways- she gives you a CD of your favorite band, harmless, right? She sneaks into your car and strips- she hides your baby from you- she finds her way into your house, goes through your personal belongings- follows you to a business retreat- tries to commit suicide, naked, in your hotel bed- you still consider her harmless?

With a running time of 95 minutes- perfect enough to bring even the craziest ex-girlfriend to this film- "obsessed" keeps you glued and entertained until the show stopping end! To this film I give 5 stars all-the-way and declare Obsessed the most precisely acted out, most carefully written, and most dramatic "holy sh*t, did that just really happen?" move of the year 2009- so far!
