Bruce Campbell plays himself. He is making a sequel to one of films, and only has a few fans. But when a town needs his help, Bruce Campbell is kidnapped, he's pretty much forced to save the day! There is an evil that has awakened... Bruce doesn't really believe it though, so he thinks he'll be fine. This story may not sound great, but it totally works, and called for some extremely funny moments, and the film ties with Tropic Thunder, as the funniest movie of 2008!
The acting is awesome! Bruce is back, and up to his good old humor. Bruce's humor is probably most reminiscent of Army of Darkness. He was born to play this role! Get it? I know, terrible joke. But not only Bruce does awesome. I give a lot of credit to an extremely funny supporting cast as well!
As I was watching this awesome movie, I was trying to figure out the director. If he was unknown, or maybe someone you, and I know... and then is hit me. "I bet Bruce Campbell is the director!" Sure enough, when the credits started, there it was- Directed by Bruce Campbell. He needs to make a sequel! My Name is Bruce 2!!
The visuals are crazy! You got some nice, totally fake gore here and there. Then when he's filming his new movie, the guys in bug costumes, and the fake blood. They're great! Then you got Bruce's Hawaiian shirt, which for some reason is just cool! I want one!
This was such a hilarious movie! You gotta see it! But make sure you know who Bruce Campbell is first...
