My Bloody Valentine 3D: Review By SCREENWRITER

Okay, I finally just saw the remake of the 1981 slasher-flick "My Bloody Valentine", this version being titled "My Bloody Valentine 3-D". I very much enjoyed this version a lot more than the original. This one was bloodier, better acted, and just better scripted than the first. I wanted to see this when it came out in January but I never got the chance. When the DVD came out people told me this sucked so I stayed away for a while. BUT, my friend and I just decided to give it a watch since we had nothing better to do. I am happy i watched this because I enjoyed this. I recommend this slasher-flick.

THE GOOD OF THE MOVIE:

The movie was very gory and it was pretty suspensful. The movie had a good idea to it and I thought the 3-D was very cool in this movie. The movie's acting wasn't bad, some performences good, some bad.

THE BAD OF THE MOVIE:

The movie has a few slow-going moments but the movie picks up very quickly after those moments. Some of the performences in this were kind of bad but I really just got passed that and didn't really care. I don't look for the acting in horror films for some reason. lol.

ACTING:

Jenson Ackles, from the amazing CW series "Supernatural" stars as Tom. He's the lead. He does a well job in this movie and I happy to see the "Supernatural" star in a movie...especially a horror movie since the show he's in is horror-genre. Some of the acting in this film was good and some of it was sort of bad.

VISUALS:

The gore in this movie was good. It looked good. The blood in this movie looked perfectly fine. The visuals for this movie were great. The 3-D wasn't all that great. I recommend this in 2-D. It's much better that way. Other than that, the visuals were fine. Good gore.

DIRECTION:

The direction in this movie was fine.

OVERALL:

Overall, a good-fun horror film to enjoy for an hour and a half. The movie has good kills, great twists, and enough gore to keep you interested. If you already haven't seen "My Bloody Valentine 3-D" then I recommend this to you. But in 2-D!
