Super-spy Ethan Hunt has retired from active duty to train new IMF agents. But he is called back into action to confront the toughest villain he's ever faced - Owen Davian, an international weapons and information provider with no remorse and no conscience. Hunt assembles his team: his old friend Luther Strickell, transportation expert Declan, and background operative Zhen. It soon becomes evident that Davian is well-protected, well-connected, and downright malicious. This forces Hunt to extend his journey back into the field in order to rescue his wife, Julia, and uncover IMF double agents in the process...

We've come along way since 1996 as this film released 10 years later and was in the hands of featured director J.J. Abrams (Stark Trek, Super 8) taking over the franchise he amped up the action and cranked the intensity knob to 100 as M:I-3 has to be the most intense film in the franchise yet. This is a non stop no holds barred action/adventure epic.

Tom Cruise who has been known to the world as a veteran actor in classic films such as the first Mission: Impossible and other movies from before that such as Top Gun and Jerry Maguire , Rain Man, and Risky Business and now he returns to that action movie franchise in the third Mission: Impossible film in the franchise.

Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt does another great job at bringing this character to life as he has know showed to us that Cruise is in fact the "ultimate action star". Their's nothing this man can do that he hasn't done before. We also have Philip Seymour Hoffman as Owen Davian, the film's main baddie who proves that Hoffman can damn well play any personality/character profile he wants. He's like Stanley Tucci, a chameleon actor who isn't just a type-cast.

Billy Crudup, the IMF Operations Director makes for a great additon to the franchise. Maggie Q as Zhen Lei, does a nice job at kicking ass. Shows that women can be just as good as the guys. Simon Pegg, who plays Benji always brings the comedic relief and plays the audiences conscience as well. Having Laurence Fishburne added makes for a perfect cast.

With an all-star action movie cast ranging from Billy Crudup, Maggie Q, and Philip Seymour Hoffman, and a strong knock-out action scene one after another; you can't go wrong with Mission: Impossible 3. Everything has been done right. Their's no silly gadgets, no over-the top outrageous action (their are a bunch of heart pounding, thrill a minute intense action) no complex and confusing plot for the viewer to decipher. If you want action, M:I-3 gives you action. J.J. Abrams knows what fans want and he made it his own Mission: Impossible movie that is sure to give the viewer no chance to breath since they'll be caught up in the intensity.
