IMF agent Ethan Hunt has been sent on a mission to retrieve and destroy the supply of a genetically created disease called 'Chimera'. His mission is made impossible due to the fact that he is not the only person after samples of the disease. He must also contest with a gang of international terrorists headed by a former IMF agent who has managed to steal the cure and plan of infecting the whole world. In order to infiltrate and locate the terrorist group he relies on the help of an international thief Nyah of whom he quickly develops a love interest.

Mission: Impossible 2 is one of those "bigger is better" films. This contains over the top action and "non-stop fastened your seat belt" thrills. Some of the stunts featuring motorcycles and mountain climbing with aerodynamic helicopters are just some of the few but many set pieces you'll experience when watching this film.

The plot, is crazier than ever and not too realistic but hey, this is Tom Cruise, and this is a sequel to an action movie so expect a bunch of loony plots and whacked out of your mind villains who want to "take over the world" and let loose dangerous toxins on the human race.

Tom Cruise doesn't disappoint with showing his crazy skills and acting is one of them. Sure some my not like him and think that Cruise is over-rated (he might at times) but in this movie he's Tom Cruise doing what Tom Cruise does best and that's doing his own stunts. That and yelling excitedly during the movies many action scenes. Ving Rhames returns to reprise his role of computer hacker Luther and Brendan Gleeson stars as Biocyte's CEO, John C. McCloy. Newcomer to the franchise, Thandie Newton plays the role of love interest/spy/IMF partner to Ethan Hunt, Nyah Nordoff-Hall. They share some chemistry on screen not too much but it's subtle of the on screen presence.

Mission: Impossible may be one of the less smart action packed installment in the franchise but it serves up quite the action and the plot can be a little hard to comprehend since it's pretty complex throughout the movie but having a steller cast, intense action sequences and some "sexy-time" thrown into the mix with Thandie Newtons character you get a high octane unreal sequel that had potential to be decent but was lost in the action and had too much fun to pay attention with the films plot as you wouldn't care any way since you too would have an entertaining time watching this movie.
