The answer. He made a sh*tty horror movie. This movie drags along, has plot holes you could drive a truck through and turns into a different movie in the last act (at least we get some explosions and lots of glass shattering!). The director goes more for the gore freak out factor than the scare the hell out of you factor (sorry, pigeons suddenly flapping out of the darkness isn't very original or scary no matter how much you boost the sound mix). So while the marketing promised "The Horror Event of the Summer", the film falls flat. So, save yourself some cash and Netflix this one. Thank God Kiefer has a day job.
