Milk had the perfect depiction of San Francisco in the 1970s. Whenever a controversial law was in the process of being passed, the communities of the city would speak out and cause riots and marches. San Francisco really felt like it a living breathing thing.

This film definitely had one of the best ensemble performances of the year. Everyone did such a fantastic job! Sean Penn really blew me away with his performance. He did such a great job portraying Harvey Milk's growth throughout the film.

A terrific film overall. Great direction, writing, art direction, and acting by everyone.
