Gus Van Sant directs the powerful Sean Penn in the biography/drama movie "Milk" which has got to be one of the best movies I saw in 2008. This is based on a true story, Harvey Milk was the first gay man to be in office, set in L.A. It also stars Josh Brolin, Emile Hirsch, Diego Luna and James Franco. An all star cast.

This has the best acting you will see and the most emotional movie you might see. With a sad ending to it. For me nothing can beat a Sean Penn movie, he's one of the best actors. In this movie you will be really freaked out because 1: It's a gay based movie thats rated R. 2: If it's rated R that means guy on guy action. But don't worry you wont see any... well you know. You'll only see there butts. And very very dramatic scenes.

Don't be freaked out when you see this but you will. This movie really freaked me out but the ending (which you won't find out from me) was very sad and dramtic. This is a powerful film that should've won more awards than it had. Gus Van Sant has directed lots of great films some independent films and some not. He directed the "Psycho" remake which absolutely sucked. but every directed makes a bad movie.

"Milk" is the most original movie of 2008, it beats "The Wrestler" "The Curious Case of Benjaman Button" "Slumdog Millionare" (which I didn't think was all that) So go out and watch this film.
