Spanning the globe, a daring recruitment effort begins. Starring Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Samuel L. Jackson, and directed by Joss Whedon, "Marvel's The Avengers" is based on the ever-popular Marvel comic book series "The Avengers," first published in 1963 and a comics institution ever since.     I thought that the 3D effects were fantastic in Marvel's 'The Avengers'. They were much, much better than the 3D effects in 'Clash of the Titans'.

    great movie but the 3d was one of those movies like "clash of the titans" was where the 3d stays mostly in the picture instead of "coming out of the screen like the objects did in green lantern". good thing i brought my glasses from home and payed 5 dollars for the regular one but went in the 3d one ha ha,before 6:00 ,it's just 5 for the regular movies.

    Surprisingly good think i enjoyed it just as much as my five year old Hulk loving son, brilliant effects great story Hulk smashed it lol, excellent in 3D cannot wait for it's blu ray release and more of the same please x

    All too infrequently, a much hyped blockbuster hits the mark right on the spot. Then there's the rare beauty that hits ABOVE the mark. The Avengers is such a movie. It EXCEEDS the already high expectations. It's the best big budget movie that I've seen in years. It honestly may be my favorite of all-time. It hits a high standard of excellence by combining a cool plot, breathtaking action sequences, charisma, crisp and witty dialogue, the perfect villain, actual character development and puts it all together in one amazing package.

    @rojodiablo Yeah, i thought that was hilarious, meaning what the Hulk did to Loki in that scene. Everyone in the theater that were there when i went to see it, were laughing at what he did to Loki in that scene. I thought that was one of the funniest parts of the Avengers movie.

    I wanted Eric Bana to return to play Dr. Banner but I still think Ruffalo did a fine job in the role, imo better than Norton in the second Hulk flick for sure (which by no means is to say Norton was horrible). Hulk actually brought quite a few perfect laughs to the film, I was freakin' rolling with laughter when Hulk finally got his hands on Loki (as an example)!! Absolutely looking forward to the sequel, with hopefully Whedon returning for, and any other flicks these characters wind up getting before then!

    This Avengers movie, is one of the best movies i have ever seen! I know there's going to more sequels for the individual marvel characters, but i cannot wait for the Avengers 2 ! I know it's not coming out any time soon though.
