Marvel's The Avengers: Review By SherlockHolmes2009

So this is what everyones been waiting for. After 5 films, Marvel has finally released its 6th and best film so far. The Avengers is definetly how the summer should be kicked off and will go down in history as one of the best superhero films of all time

The screenplay was golden. Written by Zak Penn and Joss Whedon, what was done here was brilliant as it brings each superhero from the past 5 Marvel films into this film. What makes this film great is its able to blend the different elements of the films, like mystical Norse god Thor and the high tech Iron Man and World War 2's Captain America, and brings them all together into one huge action packed film and I congradulate Penn and Whedon for pulling off a tough job of writing the screenplay.

The acting in the films is self explanitory: just pure awesomeness. I cant single out any single actor or actresses. Everyone played off each other perfectly and everyone brings back their performances from their previous films and give better performances

Joss Wheldon has directed the film he will be remembered for. What he has done with the Marvel Universe is equivalent to what Nolan has done with DC Comics. He has directed an epic superhero assembling film and it is one that will cadapult him to superstardom along with his cinematographer

The visuals were mindblowing. I mean what can I say, each one is just mind blowing and they get better and better until the very end and youll be on the edge of your seat in just sheer amazement. One of the best aspectd of the visuals were the visuals for the Hulk, to me the visuals for him seemed more realistic than the other versions.

Overall I give this film 9/10 films. Now while I believe it to be an amazing superhero film, I dont consider it the best superhero movie ever made. To me that still belongs to The Dark Knight, but still it was an amzing superhero film that was well worth the wait and needs to be watched by all.
